I started the counter August 11th 2009 and slowly saw it climb – for myself at alarming rates. Some of the original viewers may have read about or even been winners in previous contests when I reached 1000 and 2000 viewers which at the time, were pretty big milestones for me. Now I sit back and am seeing over fifteen hundred people view my site, each week. . . This is just mind blowing to me. When I first started, I was expecting a few hundred views a month but nothing like it is now. I know I am still a small fry in the whole scheme of things, but when another site had their 10,000 unique viewer contest they had been up and running for over a year, so although I may not be a ‘big dog’ just yet, I hope I’m nipping at their heels! haha
The main reason I am here is because of you all reading, commenting and emailing me – I really can not explain the connection I have made with a lot of you. When I first started this web site it was originally due to an increased ‘obsession’ I had with cigars, my dream to one day open my own B&M but on a side note, it was also out of spite to the lady who said ‘you wont keep up with this, it wont become anything, you’ll get burnt out’ – so naturally I had to prove her wrong. The thing of it was, after a week or so of getting used to the whole being in the review world situation, making the proper adjustments and actually sitting down to review cigars, these amazing people contacted me and offered their help. One of these guys, a person to this day I still look up to and, really, the man who got my name out there was Tom over at TomsCigars.com so if you have not seen his site yet, please check it out, but come back to enter the contest!
Since Victoria over at General Cigars was kind enough to ship me a few boxes of cigars, I felt it was only proper to ‘share the wealth’ as they say. My previous paragraph will make more sense in just a moment haha. Due to the brotherhood that we all know exists within the cigar community, I felt it only necessary to turn this contest over to you. Please leave a comment on this post and recommend or nominate someone you feel should win some free cigars.
There are a few rules, as with all things. Firstly, please do not nominate yourself, those additions unfortunately will not be counted. Second, please do not nominate Reps or Reviewers, we get enough free cigars as is haha! Lastly, add a little information as to why you feel this person deserves the cigars.
I will lead it off – I am nominating Jerry (@CAOFanatic), quite frankly for giving me the entire idea behind this contest. Also, surprisingly enough he lives near my new home and has offered to show me around the area to a local B&M he frequents – Hospitality and generosity from someone I met online, simply from talking about cigars – all because of this brotherhood. I will tally the nominations at the end of 7 days – the top three people who have the largest number of nominations will win these cigars – But, in the words of some from the CGAR clan, I am going to be a ‘cigar weasel’ to a certain extent – I am going to review some of these cigars, and some I just want to smoke, so I am keeping some for myself haha!. I guess that is also a big question, what exactly are the winning prizes?!

I second smelvis. After three weeks of being on puff, his generosity has inspired me to donate tons of sticks to the troops. The pictures of what he’s been able to gather are astonishing.
