‘Operation Cigar Liberty’ Continues Its March Forward: CRA Releases List Of Those That Ought To Be On H.R. 1639

We are at a crucial juncture for the legislation to protect premium cigars from the heavy hand of the legion of bureaucrats at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration that want to change (and not for the better) the world of cigars, forever.

The following represents a list of 96 key Members of the U.S. House of Representatives from 36 states that we hope CRA’s national membership will call and email, especially if you are a constituent, asking that they serve as a co-sponsor of H.R. 1639. We will be pounding the pavement in Washington , DC , and if you hear from any of them, let us know. We’ll follow up with their office. You have sent 192,000 messages to Congress, and they’re listening. But we can’t stop now…

That is right – the contest that never ends is finally coming to an end! I am very impressed by the number of submissions and the frequency from the top 5, I don’t think I went a single day without a submission coming through and the past week has been… busy to say the least. Wednesday alone I had 16 different submissions! To say thank you to those who have contributed, watched and spread the word would be a grave injustice to them. Lots of time, money and energy was put up in order to make this happen and for us all to enjoy and again – thank you! Because of that, everyone who has submitted a completed Achievement up till this point will be receiving some cigars. I am not sure how many or which ones just yet, but I want to properly return the gesture.

THE RAMON PUIG BRAND CELEBRATES A 40 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

THE CELEBRATION ALSO MARKS THE GRAND OPENING OF A NEW PUIG STORE IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI

(Miami, Florida) June 27, 2012—This month marks the 40 year anniversary of the Ramon Puig brand here in South Florida. Established by the now late Mr. Puig, the legacy continues with his son Louis Puig. The reputable and world famous clothing brand will not only celebrate four decades of style, but also a new location this Thursday June 28th 2012, from 6:00-9:00PM. The festivities will highlight the revamped brand via a by-invitation Grand Opening of the new Downtown Miami store location and include a presentation by Mayor Tomas Regalado.

Hell yeah – the contest is almost over! I am still amazed at the response – over 200 submissions, 12,000 page views and an email almost every single day from someone. Not going to lie – pretty impressed everyone! Just because of that, I think I am going to run another contest after the achievements are done… I have not figured out all the specifics but its going to be a quick, easy 5 or 10 pack give away. The Sosa Family Adds A New Size To An Already Perfect Cigar Line

Miami, Florida-June 21, 2012-Antillian Cigar Corporation, owner of popular cigar brands such as Sosa, Imperio Cubano and Macabi, is happy to announce that it will be introducing a new 6 x 60 size to its Sosa Classic cigar line. This 6 x 60 will be one of the first 60 cigar ring gauges to be manufactured out of an Arturo Fuente cigar factory. The Sosa Classic line is handmade at the Tabacalera A. Fuente y CIA Factory # 4 in the Dominican Republic by master blender, Juan B. Sosa. All tobacco for Sosa Classic is aged for a minimum of three years and made with an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. This new size is the perfect addition to the array of sizes already available in the Sosa Classic including the Gran Wavell, a 5 ½ x 55, that was added to the line last year in 2011. Sosa Classic has received various accolades throughout the years such as Cigar Aficionado acknowledging the Piramide No. 2 with a 93 rating in the April 1998 edition, and Cigar Aficionado also named the Wavell as one of the 25 Best Cigars of the Year 2007. The suggested retail for the 6 x 60 will be $10.00 and will be packaged in boxes of 21.
