Loved the rant here David! I review, if it is good I say so, if it sucks I also say that. I throw up other stuff too. If you don't like it then don't read it. Everyone needs to find a reviewer that has similar tastes. I'm for sure no pro but I know what I like and that works for me. I do it more for myself when I have time (have not had time as of late) and no one else.

I'm also glad you brought up the whole $$ thing. This last son just about put a stop to my cigar buying.

About getting the free cigars, I love getting them when I get a chance. maybe I would get more if I always gave them all good reviews but I don't. Oh well, good day :)

Thanks for the rant David, glad you chimed in and I think you should continue this series of commentary. As for everyone's reaction to Artz's article, I think we can all agree that our enjoyment of smoking and reviewing cigars should not be limited by our ability or inability to purchase and smoke a box of cigars per review.

Personally, I only smoke 1-2 cigars per week, with a 17 month old son and another on the way. I enjoy my time with my review partner and with the cigar and I'll continue to post reviews after only smoking 2-3, sometimes only 1 of each cigar.

As far as integrating other components into your website, I don't have a problem with this at all, if it is somehow caters to the life of a cigar smoker, which who knows what all that could potentially entail. Not saying I want to see a review of the pizza you had with your cigar, but I think Johnny's approach to incorporating beer is a fairly natural compliment to reviews of cigars. We plan to begin reviewing coffee on our website in the coming weeks and I see a close enough correlation to justify the new portion of the site.

Again, glad you ranted and glad you're thinking through these questions. We all need to be held to the fire from time to time to remember why it is that we do what we do and why we it is that we love what we do.

Take care brother.

I beleive you should continue these rants, they give your site a complexity many do not have. However, your ranting and raving seems a bit unprofessional for the industry you yearn to be a part of. I suggest you explore the execution of refrainment when it comes to explotives, rage and blame.

Good Day Sir
