Whata You Smokin?

Alright – into week two of the What am I smoking segment. I have heard a couple people say they like it while a few others could live with or without it so please let me know if you all want me to continue posting my weekly wrap up of smokes. This past week I was out of town for business so I only had 3 ‘after work’ smokes so I was going to combine the two weeks into one but I figured, what the hell better 3 than zero.

January 9th, 2012
– It was Monday and I was not really sure what I was in the mood for so tried to bring a decent variety of smoke with me to work.

Whata You Smokin?

Some of you who follow me on twitter ( @TheCigarNut ) have seen that – usually – before I head out of work I take a picture of my daily cigar selection and post it, asking for everyones input on what I should smoke that evening. My commute is just under an hour ( with traffic ) so it gives me the flexibility to try a different range of cigars although there is still a good portion of the cigars on the market I simply can not fit into this time frame. My original goal was to find a good 30-45 minute smoke to keep me occupied on the ride home – well it has now changed into a good way for me to hear back from you, the reader on what you prefer and allows me to try some cigars I might not normally go after and keeps me from smoking the same thing day after day after day – thanks to your comments. I will continue to post the daily selection on twitter, but I will also start posting them to facebook and doing a weekly recap on the site – going to try for every Saturday or every Sunday. I’ll run this for the next week or two and see what you all think.

January 3rd, 2012
– First Cigar of the New Year! ( yeah I’m slacking )

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all are enjoying the national hangover day – so I’ll try my best to keep it brief. Most everyone is talking about their new years resolutions, the best and worst of 2011 and a recap of this or a recap of that – well, not so much here. On the other side, 2012 is looking to be a pretty good year for The Cigar Nut. A new wave of cigar orders finally came through in late December, new whiskey has been added to my counter top, 4 blind reviews ready and more being sent out to Eric and Brian soon and to top it off, more contests and possibly another run of the Achievement section. Speaking of contests, the two winners of the ‘Merry What Have Ya’ contest were Kekoa Kai and @PapaLad !! Contact me with your shipping information and I will send your winnings ASAP!

Long story short – Hope you all had a great New Years and a fantastic 2012! Lets see if these Mayans knew something we still don’t or if it was all fiction. Just in case they are right – light up those special cigars, open those special bottles of spirits and smile a little more than usual. Wish you all the best.

The Cigar Nut

Hope you all have the best holiday weekend you can – Because it is the holidays I figure its time for some gift giving – have that special cigar and let me know what it is, I will choose 2 comments and ship 5 cigars to each! Can’t get much easier or better than that!
