February 20th has become a day for celebration in the hobby of pipe smoking. Over the last few years, the 20th has been set aside as “International Pipe Smokers Day”. On this day, pipe smokers are encouraged to enjoy and pipe and encourage those who have never tried a pipe to give it a try. So, if you have never tried a pipe, I want to encourage you to go find a cheap corn cob pipe, some aromatic tobacco and celebrate with us! While I enjoy cigar smoking more than pipe smoking, I will be grabbing my Erik Nording pipe and filling it with some of the famous Dunhill 965 to celebrate.
But, maybe you are a cigar smoker and you are thinking, “Jason, NO WAY am I going to smoke a pipe!” Well, good news! Our friends at Table 36 (www.table36.com) have found a way for us cigar smokers to celebrate and do it with a purpose. They have labeled March 6th (3-6) as “National Smoke a Cigar Day”. This is exciting! Not only is it a reason to smoke a cigar (as if we needed it), but it is also a chance to raise awareness that we need to protect our freedoms! For more info you can find the event on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/events/286870721439422/?fref=ts).
