Okay, well – I guess we don’t want free cigars or perhaps I decided to make a contest that wasn’t so great – either way it was a total flop. It has been almost a week and no one has even entered a single review – so. . . yeah.

I still have these cigars and really want to make someone’s Christmas a little brighter. I will run this contest till Tuesday, December 22nd – they will be mailed out that day so be sure to enter! I normally like to run my contests a full week so everyone has a chance to enter – but. . . time not being on our sides I’m gunna rush this one a little.

Why? The celebration ‘excuse’ this time around is going to be getting close to almost 4000 unique visitors. If you have been following the site October 4th I hit 1000 unique visitors and November 27th I was just under 3000 unique views, so this is roughly one thousand new people to look at the site, each month. I’ve been able to pick up some advertising (please check out the hand picked adds on the right hand side), been able to build my database and most of all been able to make some amazing friends.

How to Win:
I’m sure some have just skimmed down to this part – and thats fine the first part was more of a toot my own horn deal – haha. Leave a comment about one of your ‘personal greatest accomplishments’ – now, this isn’t about you getting a degree or getting that big promotion but something that YOU feel was a big ‘pat on the back’ to yourself.
All entries will be like prior contests – entered into a hat and the drawing will be live VIA twitter Tuesday, December 22nd.
Enter away!

I was going to enter the review contest but decided it wasn’t fair with me already being a reviewer for another site, so I gave my brother a chance, apparently he didn’t bother to get it done. So there’s two of your entries you didn’t get . lol.
I think a great moment for me was actually having a review online that people read and enjoyed.
Yah: too shy for the review (cinnamon? leather? hint of myrrh???).
A great moment? First jump from an aircraft in flight–and landing relatively uninjured (man that ground comes up FAST though, huh?). *Earned* my blood wings: Airborne!
My greatest accomplishment, well, besides my sons, I guess it would be getting some of my writing published. We are in the editorial process now, with a spring release set. I am with Agent 86, I skipped the contest because of being a reviewer on other sites. I love your site, keep up the great work!
I’m going to limit my accomplishment to the cigar community. My greatest accomplishment thus far was running a successful monthly cigar swap on the alt.smokers.cigars news group for almost 2 years. It was very popular and was a lot of fun. I’m trying to figure out a way to incorporate that into my website, maybe a goal for the new year!
Happy Holidays to all!
My greatest accomplishment was getting certified as an Scuba Diving Instructor Trainer and being able to certify people from the basic scuba diver to the level of instructor. This has made me many friends in the industry and allowed me to travel through the Caribbean. Pretty cool.
Well, besides being married 34 years and raising two beautiful daughters, I guess serving as a local elected city councilmember (read:volunteer!) for 27 years has given me a lot of pride. Keeping taxes low while maintaining a great level of city services is a challenge but a rewarding one at that!
I just hadn’t selected which cigar I was going to review for the contest. Accomplishment: fist year taking over a business, record year by over 20%. Not bad for that being this year with the economy down and their record year being 2007 when economy was booming and I still smoked their best year.
Greatest accomplishment would probably be this past year when I gave up the best job I ever had so my wife could become a senior minister at a presbyterian church 350 miles away. No regrets. Jobs come and go; but being able to help your wife realize her calling is greater than anything.
I would consider my biggest accomplishments is having my band asked to open for the band Motorhead when they played in Milwaukee, I felt it’s my greatest because after three years of very hard work in my band it paid off by being asked to open for one of the biggest influences to my band.
I am actually proud of myself this year! I stood up to the “Big Wigs” at my company! My manager tried to muscle me out of my position that I earned and was inline for. I had no one on my side, everyone turned their backs on me, no one wanted to get involved. Everyone who knew about the position either became an ostrich and put their heads in the sand, or gave me the deer in headlights look. Many of my co-workers told me to hang it up, or leave it alone…but I couldn’t. I was furious! I finally said enough is enough! I went to human resources, and reported him. I was petrified, I knew if I lost, I would suffer huge repercussions. But it actually worked, they were in my favor, and I won! I received my position, and he can no longer bother me. This was definitely my greatest accomplishment for 2009!
Happy Holidays to you all!
My biggest accomplishment had to be the day that I gathered up enough strength to walk away from my awful family, abusive relationship, and crappy job that I was so entwined in. And start a new life, in a new city where I knew no people. I didn’t last there very long at all and came right back a few weeks later. But when I did get back, I came home with a hardened shell, and a brighter head on my shoulders. It was from that point forward that things turned around for me and I started thinking about my self, and ways to better my life instead of having to carry the burden around of someone elses. Great contest man!
Greatest accomplishment would be the birth my daughter… one of the most amazing experiences I have ever witnessed!
After 40+ years of hemming and hawing (and no small amount of mocking and deriding, and perhaps a bit of wrestling and reflection), I accepted Jesus as my savior.
No, I am not making this up.
As someone already said his children (which in fact probably are my greatest accomplishment) I’m going to go with the fact that I’ve managed to live the life my wife and I want to live and that we receive compliments on our children from everyone.
Goes to show what hard work (two jobs!) and some actual good parenting can accomplish.
As I saw the winner announced on twitter a minute ago (DAMN!) I’d like to go ahead and say congrats!
Congrats Mad Robusto!
