The Cigar Nut

Damn – I didn’t realize you all were ready to start the Achievements! Already have 2 confirmed submissions and one person who has completed 4, I’m just waiting on the photos along with 20-25 messages on twitter, facebook and email asking about the contest. I must admit, I am pretty impressed. I have also received a message from another retail establishment who is interested in sponsoring a prize or two! Enough of that – just wanted to say Thank you to everyone and good luck, hopefully this is a big hit!

If you are one of those characters who keeps up on the latest and greatest in the cigar world, you may remember the Black Market as being a release at the latest IPCPR convention by the Alec Bradley company. Enough jabbering – go check it out!

The Cigar Nut

Some of the regular readers may be asking themselves – what happened to the reviews? Yeah yeah, I’m slacking. I ended up getting a head cold in the middle of April and couldn’t shake it till about a week ago, I even got a few message on my twitter and facebook pages asking where my daily ‘what to smoke’ had gone. My taste buds are still coming back to life and I hope to be back in the swing of things soon. In the mean time, I have tried to pick up some more of the news/gossip/research and actually find it really fun – I plan on keeping the reviews around and just adding the research on top.

The other thing that has preoccupied my time – is getting ready for the Achievements contest! After the click you will see a few ‘teaser’ Achievements that will be part of this latest contest. I currently have 50 different Achievements, each one given a point value do to the level of difficulty involved. I got a few complaints on the last contest that it would require people to purchase specific cigars to complete them ( The Chief for example ) but I have tried to make the bulk of them ‘any brand/size/blend’ friendly. So far there will be over 50 cigars, a few accessories and an ashtray to the winner – but I have a feeling there may be few more prizes soon! Click ‘Read the rest of this entry’ below and let me know what you think!
