“Initially, a mutual business associate had introduced me to Dylan Austin and some of the Camacho family at one of our Las Vegas after parties. The “after extravaganza” we hold during the MAGIC trade show has come to be somewhat of an institution. It was surrounding one such event, that the initial connection was made. Immediately, the synergy between the two camps was acknowledged – and talk quickly turned to a smoker’s accessory series I had already been working on. I wanted to translate the Room101 flavor to lighters and cutters and I had some concepts on deck for a humidor series, which was unlike anything I had seen on the market.
After this initial meeting, Christian returned fire with the ultimate proposition – why not create a cigar to accompany these fine accessories – or would the accessories accompany this fine cigar? Either way, I digressed…
Before I knew it, I was touring the Camacho Family facilities in Danli, Honduras (respect!) and following the lead of Christian Eiroa – the process of cigar craft was broken down from the very beginnings, to the final product of a hand crafted cigar.
